A man was killed and four other people suffered serious injuries on the N3 south between Hilton and the Duncan McKenzie offramp early on Sunday, Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said.
The five occupants were flung from the car as it rolled. The man, in his 20s, died on the scene. The cause of the accident was not yet known.
In another accident, a driver died and seven other people were injured in a head-on collision along the Umzinto North Road, near Craigieburn, on Saturday night. The driver of one of the cars was killed. Three people were seriously injured and four suffered minor injuries.
Two cars and a minibus taxi collided along Edendale Road, Pietermaritzburg, in another accident on Saturday night.
“Two people sustained serious injuries while three others escaped with minor injuries,” Botha said. - Sapa
