Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said the accident happened at the Queen Nandi Drive bridge around 7.30am.
“Four people were in a critical condition while 11 sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor,” he said.
Some of the injured were trapped in the wreckage when paramedics arrived.
